Mmmmm . . . Raw Food Potluck
If you haven’t been to a raw food potluck yet, I highly recommend attending or organizing one. I attended one yesterday, and it was scrumptious!
It was organized by Fred Wittig and his wife Dawn at their soon-to-be-open cafe at 229 Louisiana in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
I was amazed that so many people could come together and create such a palette of colorful raw food dishes. There was kale salad, garden salad, cauliflower “couscous”, guacamole and other dips for homemade crackers, cranberry salsa, applesauce, fresh berries and grapes, pumpkin pie, and key lime pie. I am probably forgetting something, but those were my favorites. I took a little of each dish, and my plate looked like a work of art. I wish I had brought my camera to capture it all for you. It was so impressive, and the taste of each dish definitely held up to the beauty.
The recipes were not complicated. The simplicity of many of them made the experience even more grounding and refreshing. Nature can provide so much if we just get out of the way and appreciate the splendor.
An additional bonus was socializing with like-minded people. I discovered new recipes and new sources of great produce and truly healthy options. Everyone was joyful and knowledgeable in so many ways. It was a really wonderful experience.
I look forward to many more potlucks, and the opening of the cafe. It will be offering raw food options in addition to other simple and healthy fare. Yummy teas, smoothies, salads, soups, and crepes are in the works. There will be plenty of goodies to grab-n-go, plus the option to sit and relax and enjoy. I can’t wait! If you are in the area, please visit. You won’t be disappointed.
I love this raw food journey!
Have a lovely day . . .

Hello world!
I am wishing you the best day ever. Think big, happy thoughts. Visualize greatness, and share loving vibrations with all beings. I know. It is easier said than done. Breathe, and do your best. That is what I am attempting to do. That is all that we can do at any given time. Focus on that and enjoy the sunshine, rain, or whatever beauty nature has given you today.
Thanks for listening!
